    Ok, ive commited to going. Im staying at the Wanganui River Top 10 Holiday Park on friday night in a bunk room. 3 other bunks available if anybody wants to share a room.
    Any suggestions for stops/cafes/backroads for friday ride from Pukekohe are welcome.

    Be careful those Kenda K270's wear well but are one of the slipperiest tyres I've used on wet seal.

    Yeah, I know. I had some scarry moments on one. The side knobs flex, so the tyre feels all squishy when cornering. Not bad on gravel though.

    That was a killer price on those Kenda's So, I snagged one also..just for the rear.... Sounds like they are a little scary on the wet when worn I'll have to watch that...

    I only get 8-9000km out of them but they're fine. Soft rubber compound, slide easily and smoothly, soft sidewall.
    A good cheap knobblish tyre.

    I'd only use them on a 650 class single or smaller.

    Apart from in mud I prefer the 705 though.
