yup, some good cats here, some very knowledgable and very good riders. you will soon learn to seperate them from the fuckwits. plenty of them too!

Very easy. There's two small covers on the engine, which you remove. Then there's three bolts to retain the power valves, which you remove. Then you pull the powervalves out, and clean them with steelo pads and over cleaner. Then inspect them for signs of cracking around the pin that goes through them (you'll see it), and reassemble and adjust. Will take you about 3 hours the first time, and about an hour every time after that. It's easy to do, don't neglect it.

When you go to see it, see if you can take the expansion chambers off and look at the pistons and bores. Takes about an hour to take them off and put them on again the first time. Scoring on the pistons and they're done, slag on the barrel and they're done too.

Can someone do me a favor and post the measurement from the very top of the fork tube (not including the adjuster) down to the center of the axle hole from an upside down RGV250 fork. Doesn't matter what model or year RGV as long as it is from an USD fork model. I expect (hope) the measurement will be somewhere between 600 and 750mm.
    Many thanks in advance.
