My sister and Bro-in-law came to visit today. They've been C90 owners for several years and of course I expected them to turn up on their C90 as they usually do.

You can never mistake the sound of Harley, though and I heard it coming. There are a couple of Harley's that frequent our street so at first I thought it was one of those, but at first sight it was obvious it was them and on a Harley!

Long story short, they've traded the C90 on this '05 Heritage Softail with only 29,000km on the clock and in VERY, as in as new, condition! Dennis says it rides and handles much lighter than the C90 and is a lot more economical to boot.

He's still experimenting with the screen to decide whether to keep it on or off as he never had one on the C90 and didn't want one. He's getting new handlebars made for it but has no other plans for more mods at this stage. Edie reckons the pillion seat is very comfortable and it certainly looks more so than either the C90 or my C50T

Great bike. Already got the mufflers fitted, Twin-Cam's don't need the high flow air filters like the Evo's did to make 'em go.

People that bag Harleys, have never ridden one. Simple as that. I've yet to ride a metric cruiser that comes even close to comparing to an H-D.

Got to agree there. We just purchased an '05 sportster 1200C. I am really pleased with it. Most importantly the better half is comfy

The only gripe so far is the wind pressure as I am quite short. I may get a lower bar for it.

I've ridden a few Harleys but if it was my money and I just had to have an american motorcycle I'd go with Victory. They are a sweet ride.

On my twincam 88 High flow air filter made huge difference........
plus cheaper in the long run........
You can wash out filter rather then renew...
