You might be a biker if....

you might be a biker if you would rather ride your "bike" before any other means of transportation

you might be a biker if you stop to help when you see another biker broke down, regardless of what he is riding.

you might be a biker if you relentlessly go the extra mile for the causes you support. [ie. abate, hospital fund raiser, poker run for a downed brother. etc.]

you might be a biker if you know more about your scoot than most folks do about their cars, trucks, and toys in general.

you might be a biker if you feel that being on a bike is the biggest part of your life, and that you feel that you and your bike are one!

you might be a biker if when you are not threatened, you are a big teddybear!

you might be a biker if you have ever had a motorcycle in your kitchen or living room!

you might be a biker if you talk to your scoot more than too your ol' lady!

you might be a biker if you have more dreams about those long rides than you have about that incredible babe you were with last night!

you might be a biker if you have ever called in sick to work because the weather was perfect for a nice long ride!

you might be a biker if you feel as much pride in your ride as you do for your kids!

you might be a biker if you will ride in any type of weather to get to a biker event for the free bbq & beer!

you might be a biker if you are someone who talks, walks, eats, sleeps, dreams, bleeds and craps bikes!

you might be a biker if you know your limitations & the limitations of your machine, but really don't care!

you might be a biker if you long to roam the open road under the stars & deal with the elements of nature as you meet them!

you might be a biker if you'd rather walk than ride bitch.

you might be a biker if you don't mind getting some bugs splattered across your face.

you might be a biker if you have slept on your bed roll along side your scoot on the side of the road or a rest stop.

you might be a biker if you will eat greasy "carney" food, drink warm beer, use foul language to make a point, ride hard to get somewhere, listen to all the southern rock & stomp your feet to the tune and then go to bed without a care (but hopefully with a babe) and then get up the next day & do it all over again!

and you definitely are a biker if the thought of sturgis or daytona brings a big smile to your face

You're probably not a biker if you call your bike a 'scoot'.

    Pretty good I reckon.

    I talk to my wife - i don't talk to my bike - it's just a machine.

The thought of Sturgis or Daytona makes this crowd hating Australian's blood run cold.

    Scoot is ghey.

I rather suspect that the majority of attendees at Sturgis or Daytona trailer their Harley Davidsons there, park up their SUVs at a motel and ride into town.

And then write lists like this one.

I shall post photographic evidence of this later this year!

Theres something about the term "biker" that I struggle with.
I think M/cyclists preferred the term over the media driven "bikey"/"bikie" etc.
But it just sounds.....well, kinda naff.
Motorcyclist encompasses the whole spectrum of the lifestyle, from granddad pottering in his shed with an old BSA, to any racers, scooter riders, trials and stunt guys/girls etc.
I guess it a American term.

I also think that this is funny being posted under wannabe and Newbie bikers - because Im guessing that the kind of guy who wrote that was a wannabe thru and thru.
