    Curse Twisted Throttle!

Having not had my BMW since early March, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms (most, if not all, the parts have arrived, now they just have to repair). To tide myself over this difficult period, I've taken to looking at what additional parts I should fit (coz I don't have nearly enough).

Sometime this afternoon, I downloaded the 2011 Twisted Throttle catalogue: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/article/static/211/1/5/ My memory is vague, but I appear to have lost several hours in the 236 pages of goodies.

Some good has come out of it... now I want more things.

Yum... big, OK power draw, on the expensive side, but could replace the OEM fog lamps with some seriously impressive results

All the coin spent on the front, may as well upgrade the rear with some extra light.

Twisted Throttle also has the Denali D1 LED kit, which I have http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade...view/5224/790/

Coming is the Denali LED D2... I've emailed them asking when they will be available...

Oh... in case you can't wait for the D2, perhaps this might help:

Looks like the Denali D2 kit will be available end of April, from what they have emailed me.

However, a few extra hours have allowed me to do some digging. I'm thinking evil thoughts about replacing the tiny 1 LED lights with something bigger in the range http://www.visionxusa.com/LED-Solsti...106/index.html. The D1 is really bright... but uh, it could be brighter of course

Emails have been sent to Twisted Throttle to see if its within their scope, and also the Auckland dealer for Vision X.

As regards the Denali lighting. Looks like a solar panel attached to the front of the bike !! For all the hype and music of the video, they didnt take the bike out on a dark unlit road and film what you can really see, all they did is shine the light directly into a camera lens. Ive no doubt they put out some light but you cant tell the range or spread they are giving

A common and valid complaint, others have commented the same. Realistically, they have wired it up to an additional lead acid battery, which is not really practical.

When I read Damn "Twisted Throttle", I thought you were having a go at DH of "Twisting Throttle" fame for organizing that ride....
