There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop
A very sad thread - Sad that I was so naive to think that such a reputable company who "PRIDE THEMSELVES ON THE BIKES THEY BUILD, AND THE MATERIALS THEY USE" (that is rather laughable now) would actually give a shit about their customers.
I mean, why on earth would such a narcissistic company as Triumph need to worry about such a small thing as customer care?
It’s simple really. If it doesn’t meet our exacting standards then we don’t put our name to it. We test every component in every condition. Every single part and accessory goes through a rigorous assessment programme to simulate the very worst you can throw at it... and then some more.
Why buy a Triumph? How about our outstanding, award-winning bikes, our 2 Year unlimited mileage warranty as standard or our global network of 750 dealers. Then there's our heritage, our application of technology and above all our 'ethos' - we eat, breath and sleep Triumph. We are proud of the motorcycles we build and are devoted to them
Just dont give a rats arse about the customers aye Triumph?!!
Fuck you very much Triumph!
Twitter and Bisted? a little, yes
Right, rant over – I am off to garage-land to watch, and provide my assistance by ensuring the bourbon flows, while my new-to-me engine gets put in.![]()

Mine wasn't entirely trouble free either pritch, however not catastrophic.
Cam cover and cam ladder were never torqued correctly from factory and water had started seeping inside the engine through loose bolts. It was picked up at the 20,000km service and thankfully, no damage was done.![]()
Nunquam Non Paratus
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !

Can imagine your anger at this happening.
Sorry, late comer to thread.
Being over 2 years out of warranty i wouldn't have even thought of contesting it.
Would have felt it would be nice for some help of coarse, but legally and almost morally speaking, triumph didn't even have to reply really being that far over warranty. You still have my sympathy of coarse!
Where did you manage to get an engine from? Or did i miss this bit somewhere else in the thread?
Trumpydom!
