just to second the thread hijack by us Northern Scum... Did that ride on Saturday and it was awesome. went up that way came back through dome valley and took a right in Warkworth down falls road? Was an awesome ride.

Hmm, pretty sure we took woodcocks road/west coast road which comes out south of the road I think you mean... the way we took was all sealed...

Sort of comes out between gloit and makarau somewhere, always wished they had that sealed when i was around that area. Have been through there on the old xl a few times and back along the road that goes from glorit back past mt auckland and out to the kaipara flats road.The old 600 used to love those roads.
