    Unhappy First speeding ticket

On the way back up from Tauranga to Auckland was coming up to a crest doing around 140ish and a cop came over the top managed to get down to 119 when he tagged me. Phew! Was a nice enough cop though, said there had been a serious motorcycle crash up miranda ways, anyone hear about that? Did'nt seem to notice the lack of L plate which was a good thing

Unfortunately adding to the fine i already have :-( just glad he didn't catch me doing 160 round some of the nice sweepers. Guess it will keep my head in check for now though..
Rest in peace Tony - you will be missed.

There's heaps of cops everywhere at the mo. I guess the 4km/h tolerance doesn't affect your outcome. Probably just another reminder to be wary of cops when approaching the crest of a hill 160km/h on a 250 on your L plate...

Have the fuckers put the fines up? It was only $80 when I got ticketed at 112kmh 18 months ago.

    As I recall ... up to 10 km's over - $80 ... then $120 - for the next lot ...

My first - 113km/h - came with $120 and some demerits. She was coming the other way so must have done >130km/h to catch up to me the way she did.

Biggest bastard was the $600 extra excess on my insurance for the next bike, for having had any speeding tickets at all. Thanks Kiwibiker! That'll teach me to be honest.
