    The difference?

I have just got back from my first ever ride on a road bike. Rode like I would my dirt bike. fanged it out in first popped a wheelie that gave me the shivers hit the redline and found 2nd I was already doing 120kph. I can see why bikers like to go so fast now. I want a yamaha R1 just like my friends now.
Its always a good ride when you come home in one piece.

Yamaha R1 2007 mode./ I was in shorts shirt and my work boots and my mx helmet lol. Has pretty much made me want a roadbike just a shame you have to start on a 250 but he reckons I could get an ok one for 3-4g. Is it true you are only allowed to go 70kph before you get full?

Yeah, but if you do 140 you can half the length of time you have to spend on a learners.

Did you sit down or stand on the pegs the whole ride ?

70ks on learners that is 6 months. Nobody i know followed that rule and very few people get pulled up for it. 3-4 grand will get you a decent 250.

The biggest difference is that tarmac bites quicker and harder than dirt! Otherwise

PS - second difference it's harder to lose licence on the dirt.

Lots of people will want to tell you that you're some sort of naive idiot with a deathwish. But they'd be wasting their time. Some people just don't understand creative enlightenment and calculated risk taking.
