Castrol R2 is excellent. Waikato yamaha stock it an thats the only place in NZ i've seen that has it. Havn't been everywhere though. It's only 2 or 3 bucks a bottle more expensive than castrol tts so why not?

Elf Moto2 XT Tech $26/litre full synthetic, very clean burning, injector okay used it in my NSR250SP for many years.

Elf Competition 2 stroke, not injector friendly but cheap at $13/litre perfect for premix.

I used to buy from either (Hamilton) Extreme Automotive or Te Rapa brake and clutch who bring in Total and Elf products

I found TTS to run a bit dirty and more likely to leave bigger carbon deposits but still a good oil.
Word of warning don't go lower than a 40 weight oil for injector use, any lower and the pump can't flow it properly.

    Another vote from me.
Seems good stuff, and much cheaper than the rest.

    Thumbs up smokers!

Hi, theres few good oils about! depends on money basicly! but here s quick run down! if your engine doesnt have power exhaust valves? then you can use a good quality mineral 2 stroke oil like PM. But if you do have a engine with power valves? then go for a semi syntheic oil and if you have a fairly high performance power valve engine? then basicly nothing less than a 100% fully syntheic 2 stroke oil. The best brands like motul/castrol R/castrol A747/silkolene Pro.
then you have the castor based oils which are better for racing coz of anti wear, like Putoline/shellsport.
A good range of reasonable priced oils also made by USA - Amsoil.
oh yes regarding marine oil in bikes? you can if you like? marine oils are very similar but must meet enviroment laws, were bikes dont have to, i would only use marine oil as a last resort and at a higher oil ratio, as you have never heard of a engine blowing up coz it ran rich!!!
as for pricing? ask some guys into racing 2 strokes they usally know the best places.

used to run TTS castrol in an Aprilia RS125. But the TDR uses Yamalube semi stuff. Works a treat at about $36ish for 4 litres.

If in doubt, go talk to the suzuki dealer on the terrace, they'll put you right.
The real mystery is how come that fat bastard Hurley has never lost any weight.
