Airoh S4 - Anyone rocking one?

I'm after a full faced dual sport style lid. I came across the S4, the thing is sweet!

They retail for $540NZ. I've found a few places in the UK which stock them. They retail for around 120 pounds over there which comes to about $230NZ. Pretty big saving.

So does anyone own one and have a few thoughts on it?

Can't comment on the S4 but I have a TR1. It is light, noisy & plasticy but a good comfortable helmet nevertheless. Had no problems with it but I only use it for shorter naughty rides.

I've been looking at those too, reports from owners are good, they are light & look well made. Need to find a shop that stocks them so I can try one on.

If you do get one off the net post the link & let us know how it goes. I'll buy local if the difference isn't too much but for a $200+ discount the local stealers can get stuffed.

    Cheers
    Clint

Yes. I've had one for about 4 years.

Like any helmet you should test ride one to check for fit and wind related issues. Some combinations of dude / bike / helmet just don't work.

I like it, it fits me, it's very light and you can configure it as anything from full dirt to full street.

The price might be mid range but the build quality is better than anything else I've seen, bar none.

I'll be buying another Airoh soon.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

I have one, it has pros and cons like any helmet but I like it, and it certainly is a nice looking unit. Some say it's noisy but I think it depends on windshield setup because mine is fine. A really good summer helmet that makes riding in stinking hot conditions very bearable and comfortable, but the unblockable ventilation doesn't make it the best option for winter riding, I use a different helmet for winter/wet riding

Parts are readily available for it and at reasonable prices considering its an Italian helmet, I had to get a new visor due to a spill on gravel (nothing to do with rider error nothing at all), 1 day turnaround time and only $69, pretty good in my opinion

Thanks guys. Yeah those Icon lids look the tizzles!

I'm thinking of just getting the matt black S4 and putting on a little KTM decal. Cause that's my thang.

If it works out cheaper getting it form the UK, I'll let you guys know where I got it from but if not I'll order it through the site pipe just listed. Thanks pipe.

i bought 1 at xmas time for $479 from my local shop, sargent motorcycles.
i find it really comfortable, lite and well not to sure on the wind noise as i either wear ear plugs or ipod ear buds..it tends to let water run down the inside of visor as soon as you open it when raining...but hey seeing is ova rated

Got one, love it.....Say no more.
Cheaper from Germany, less VAT, landed here in NZ for approx $280 I guess, but that was some time ago....with the Xchange rate even better now.
