    6f

Yay, I passed my 6F yesterday in Orewa in the worst possible conditions! I couldn't see properly most of the way though as the rain was coming down so hard. It was that bad my poor bike and gear are STILL soaked through 24 hours later!!! I keep the bike garaged and it still had water on it this morning!

Oh well, main thing is that I passed

You're complaining about gaining sympathy points for your test?

Some people can't simply say 'congrats' or 'well done'. I'm not looking for sympathy points or anything. Simply making a comment about the conditions.

It certainly was shit yesterday, I opted not to take the bike out so good onya for at least doing that. Did Trisha take you for your test?

    Thumbs up

    Well done
The rain was phenomenal, I went from Lincoln road to Botany in it, it progressively got worse the further east I went.
Just goes to show what good gear can do for you though, the only thing that got soaked through was my gloves.

I wear Johnny Reb boots with a liberal coating of beeswax waterproofing, cheapy PVC overtrousers from the Warehouse and a Nylon wet weather jacket I bought from Motormail 15 years ago over my leathers.

I have been reading the Wet weather gear thread and looks like most of the older riders are convinced that the gear that we had 15 to 20 years ago is better than we have today
