Hi I also forgot (not like me I know LOL) to say that it is fantastic the amount of new people I am meeting recently. I banged into a new KLR rider at the weekend (new xmas pressie), then another lady has just been very very lucky to get a new DR650 wow and my next new lady a F650beemer for xmas. Very xciting times indeed.
We had a fantastic ride on our Sunday and were very fortunate to meet up with an overseas Round The World Traveller. Very very exciting. Adam is just one of the many that will be meeting and greeting with us. This adventure BUG is very very addictive indeed.
My husband and I also have many many old enduro buddies who appreciate anything of interest relating and pertaining to enduro based events also. Enduro based skills highly valued and a huge asset us Adventure riders also. All part and parcel of what we do or for some of us new people what we have not had the opportunity to be able to do.
I am currently working on a brand new and exciting adventure ride. This will be a very different experience to our normal adventure ride. At this stage this ride is looking to traverse thru three private property blocks. One will be weather dependant as pumice is very friable by nature and the streams are all running very fulll. Will the taps be turned off at some stage. It was intended to run this NEW ride over the SUMMER season???
More info hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I will only have a small number of places available for this very first ride. We will look to get the format right for this ride before we move on to more placings next year. At this stage I may have 6 places available.
The intention was to journey thru 3 private blocks. One a private overseas catch and release fishing block (brown trout indeed running thru these streams). This will be two hours of scenic riding and prob mng tea or lunch here. Our second block is The Whare (our accomm for the evening) It is intended to have all hands on deck to prepare a hangi for evening meal. The third block is a deer hunting farm and is made up of thousands of hectares of untouched lands. So in the afternoon we would be riding high up into these hills. There is also a lake circuit and the property owner may ride with us also. Very unique experience this ride. The 'all hands on deck' prepared hangi we will all more than enjoy later in the evening. It is expected to be down from the hills around 4pm in the afternoon.
This ride is over very private lands and yes will incur a price tag to be allowed this privilege.
If you are interested plse PM me and I will register your place. I am trying for six more placings, but may only be four. All going well I may only have to phone and confirm a booking for next years ride.
IN FROM MONICA:
HMMMMM RECEPTION HOME COMING WELCOME????????
Those of you in NZ who would like to say welcome back to Chris when he comes home ... he is back Thursday, 8:25am, AR1182... just saying
In the event of sharing is caring hmmm an airport visit may just be on those cards
Anything of any Enduro related nature or event will continue to be posted on THIS thread. Also any who wish that are IN the INDUSTRY and wish me to SPREAD the WORD I will continue to do as asked. A friend I met a while ago Around Nov I think set a famous quote for me in the theme of "sharing is caring" = I have taken that onboard and will keep up the good work accordingly.
Leaving from Akd this mng we will be attending this ride with TWO TEAM OJ in tow. Wow, thanks RYAN so very much for putting this epic ride together. It has been a fantastic task for you to put together. I look forwards to meeting the Dusty Butt Crew in the next couple of days. I will be doing Roadside Rescue this time round, we cannot quite squeeze the XT in the middle of the two larger OJ machines. So I will have to be content to 4 x 4 it over some tracks that I will go and explore. I have 4 x 4'd the Rainbow and Nevis many many times over the years, also Rees/Dart areas and many more. So I am sure I will find some form of exploring to do whilst the boys are enjoying themselves.
