Well spotted indeed, this story was an account of Linda G's ride whilst she attended the Station ride that Jim Tim Jess and myself worked hard to bring to the adv community
This ride required many hours of exploring and putting together suitable trails as we often have up to 1200cc bikes attending our rides and what is suited to our DR community may not be so suited to our bigger bikes in attendance. Also, a concern to us, a large area was deemed unsuitable by our hosts, but we needed to seek permission to also add and explore into these areas to be able to gain enough ride territory for our ride. Without Jim and Tim we would not have had these areas added into our ride. Jess has been fantastic to us as a family as she is always on hand to help and to assist. It has been this great combination of team effort Jim and I have had that has aided us greatly in making thse new rides.
I will keep on meeting and making new acquaintances and also look to explore new areas that I have never visited. Life is tooo short to simply drive past these places. NEW CONCEPT: HELLO, ARE YOU HOME??? lol SORRY can't help myself??? The gravel riders want to come to visit?? lol Hopefully I will continue to have my team of helpers and we will be able to provide many more new and interesting places to bring to our adv community.
Having just opened my copy of our Kiwi Rider Magazine, I felt it was in keeping to thank The Team that actually discovered, and put the work into the making of this ride and the preparation details etc. Work does not stop once you get home. Work continues on and many details need to be organised to make our ride the huge success story that it was.
This is my account (ORGANISERS) of THE WORK THAT WENT INTO THE MAKING OF THIS RIDE:
