Meet up point for those coming from NAPIER end of Nap/Taupo highway will be Taharua Road on the coner in the gravel pit, turn off the main highway and wait in the gravel pit at the beginning of the road. Your meet up time with us leaving from Taupo end will be 9:30am. DO NOT exit down the road, we will join you at 9:30am. I will have a trailer available at the service station in the mng to cart any extra fuel and supplies out to Rangitaiki pub. Plse allow for a max of 280kms over our day. No fuel stops between here and Whirinaki forestry camp. So plse use this fuel stop in the mng to top up those bikes, and bring along plenty of fluids also.

    catch you on another ride!

We bumped into xrjohnny at Rangitaiki and Kiwipete at Whirinaki campsite, sorry to have missed you Rosie and birthday boy - expect you're having a goodun judging by the amount of people and beer there! :

We had a fantastic play around and through the forests, those grassy berms look so innocuous from the road, it's a different story when you're riding through them

Great fun, some minor 'moments' of which are captured for our viewing pleasure

Here a few of the pics - mostly frame grabs...

Nice to catch you up at the weekend, Jim and I will catch you up next time we are down Taupo for another fun day out in the Rangitaiki area; we will keep in touch. Also, will let you know when Jim and I will do that fishing trip in the Kaiangaroa, must make the time to do this shortly, exciting, I have my fishing line all ready, and I even found a fly. Will look forwards to catch up on our Sun mng also 04th Dec for our shortish South Head beach run. Lots to look forwards to.
