Hehehe, I see Rogee is enjoying the sand as much as ever!

I missed out, but turned a 650km trip between Wellington and Auckland into a 1060km 2 day adventure, going through forests and all manner of back roads, sealed or not

He's dead right about momentum and commitment. Worst thing you can do in sand is shut the throttle. Only problem is overcoming natural fear when the front starts flapping around and then giving it more, not less, gas. I'm still learning how to do this every time.

Also have to say Rog was playing with a major handicap with that ridiculous slick he had on the rear wheel. Was never going to work on anything other than a hard, dry surface. Good workout lifting the bike so many times I suppose.

I did Golden Stairs and Findlayson Brook, as well as quite a few others last Sunday, and can recommend that area!

Excellent you had such a great ride and also awsome weather lately Please let it continue

We have a ride going Up North also 19th May that a local farmer has made for us
He rides the rocks regularly and has put together quite a good route of goat tracks and also very tight and twisty windy roads out from Kaiwaka He also has a farm there and rides in his spare time all of these areas He will be taking us for a Farm Tour over the spring/summer months Something else to also look forwards to

We will retrace the International Car Rally Route that heads out thru the might Kaipara and more
