there was the option of the looksee down the top Slab Hut Creek track on Sunday as we come out of Big River Hut,[/QUOTE]

Slub hut creek track of the end of the saddle road is not suitable for Adv bikes, long large bog holes and deep mud, given the amount of rain there at the moment I would fine somewhere else to go, or take some bloody good ropes, you will need them
    Cheers Paul

No problems. I've got a folding shovel and some spare bungys...

    What could possibly go wrong?

Seems you know the area well, always up for a little local knowledge, on the other hand, always up for a gnarly track too

Yes bro Andi and I know this area very well, we have be 4WDing for a loooong time over there.

Would be most happy to lead you astray.

The green hut track is rutty, bouldery, bit of mud and small creek crossings, steepish in places but rideable on a Adv bike, and a good place to have your playlunch at the end.
    Cheers Paul

Still trying to get permission form the CFO - but two of the four bikes I have seen drowned this year will be there (and if Matt can swap a shift..........) - so that be experience I reckon! Dave (he must be called that with all the NADS boys in attendance) knows a thing or two and I have seen a KLR drowned in a magazine recently, now where was that???? Keen to bring my heavy old girl along for a play in the mud but need a new tyre, don't think the E07 will be quite knobbly 'nuff and haven't broken that bit of news to 'er indoors yet so don't like my chances

Most tracks are flattish steepish, mostly dry sorta wet, very greasy good traction, sloping slightly kinda vertical and very easy except for the hard bits and with Nordies bungys.... well ... bugga me ... too easy!!

What was that you were up to on the Serpentine in January???
Looked to me like you were getting plenty of practice!

I'm still working on getting away on this trip, I've managed to get my Sunday shift off, just need to swap my Saturday and I'll be there too

Good stuff, if it is just one day you could use Homers trick, just make sure the bird is adequately secured
