Talking Size 15US (Euro 52) bigfoot seeks other bigfoot with similar interests

Hullo to all bigfoots... I'm about to bring in a pair of Euro50 sized AlpineStar GPS3's. The RRP for a same price A*, but in a different style, comes in at $399NZD. The actual US price is $145USD.

The NZ importers only bring in up to a Euro49, and not in this model. Technically, the Euro50 is about a US14.2... but I can fit a pair of 50 Sidi's ($400NZD) at a squeeze... no good for walking, but probably okay on the bike. Neither boot is exactly what I'd like as I'm after more of a touring boot, but when you don't have much of a choice... you make do with what you can

I'm having these shipped to a friend in the states, and I'll pick them up when I'm over there/canada in the next few weeks.

Because it's a b*tch of a job trying to find this size in NZ, if one other person would like a pair of the same size, or of a different model in the same brand... (e.g. the waterproof version) then please let me know. If I have them in the exact same size I can probably sweet talk my way back in by saying that I bought a pair and used them there, and brought back another pair since they were so hard to get. Fairly unlikely that I'll bring the box back to (due to space) but if anyone is interested, please let me know in the next 36-48 hours.

    Link to AlpineStar GPS3's

Cost in NZD will be around the $220-250 mark. I'm not doing this so much for the discount, more so for the fact that I want a boot that bloody well fits!!!! So, if you ask if I can bring you in a smaller size boot... the answer is NO! Unfortunate big footed people only...

    Regards
    Darcy

Actually... if someone is interested, the Effex Gore-Tex Boots (AlpineStar) look quite good at $200USD (approx $280-300NZD)

I'm really only wee falla. Pop into surplus army stores and the like. Some of those grunts are big boys. Any good large shoe store chain should be able to get hold of them. Another place is the safety stores like NZ safety or Protector safety. Good luck.

I got mine from protector safety, John Bull cadet, waterproof as, comfy for walking god knows how many miles, prob a little down on ankle protection from the race rep boots but they are leather and pretty sturdy, you dont twist your ankle in these you twist your knee instead.
