When I had my suspension ('98 I think). I was told that it was automatic at the start of the next business day that the suspension would be reversed. I never applied to have it done and I have had evidence since then that my license is indeed valid.

The big difference, I'd imagine - is more within the alcohol interlock licensing system, which kicks in at the 3rd+ convictions.

The licenses will have to be issued and carried, to be recognised as an interlock user, if or when pulled over by police.

When the period of required 'clean driver' record, is complete, as well as the assessment program, they are then free to apply for the re-instatement.

The thing that annoyed me was that the third ticket I got was for 121kph. Had it been 1kph lower I'd have been OK
