    Whatever the case, I'd prefer it without it, or at least so as it does not affect the sleeve seal as it does

    Underground. I got my waterproof jacket from uscav.com 13 years ago. Still 100% waterproof. Goretex, so it breathes. With the exchange rate the way it is, not a bad option. Throw in some NVG's and you're all set.
