    ghost rider

You guys have probbly had a yarn about this guy already but I was just wondering what you guys think of him mad man or just a really good rider no matter how good you are you cant stop cars from changing lanes without indacation of what they are about to do. I just saw one of his videos at a friends house and cant belive how stupid he is, will this be one more person to win a darwin award?

To understand why he does what he does, you need to have a similar thinking. If you are a real show off and like being the center of attention by being the hero or a legend within a society of people who share the same passion/interest as you, you'll know why he does it. I don't think he has a wife or children though. Also I don't think he has a conciseness.

I wouldn't do what he does because I don't want to hurt other people, physically by crashing into them or emotionally because off the loss of myself to my loved ones or the loss of the victims to their loved ones.

You’re right, he is stupid and probably lost in a few ways but, the temptation to remain as a legend is probably too great to give it all up for the sake of the consequences.

Sure he takes some huge chances with not only his life but others as well, but he still knows how to ride a bike. Some will argue that he's not a good rider due to his actions, some will say lock him up and throw away the key, others will say if he's so good why is he not racing (who's to say he isn't, has anyone other than those in the know seen his face). My own opinion, I think he's a seriously talented rider who knows how to use a bike. Time and place, well thats bleeding obvious. I'm all into fast paced rides, been there done that and still doing it, but in traffic like that no thanks. I was younger and dumber once, used to do a lot of crazy shit like that. But now I have a license to protect, a beautiful 6yr old daughter who needs me, a wife who loves me etc etc. I'll save it for the back roads.

    but good to watch...

Mad, stupid, reckless, dangerous - but entertaining to watch.

I guess most people here with with a resonable amount of experience riding sports bikes could - But I doubt very many would. Life's short enough as it is.

this has come up a couple of times last week.. I'm still sticking with the stories I've heard. That he was dying of cancer and it was either the bike or the cancer was gonna kill him. Just so happens the bike did it first, so he went doing what he loved to do. Hence the last DVD was 'The last ride'.. Haven't seen it myself, so I don't know if they show the crash or not.

A new rumor started a while ago that there was another DVD to be made. Bit hard since he's supposedly dead. But, you never see his face, so who's to know that it is the same dude every time anyway? But the grapevine has it, that a close buddy or relie has taken the reigns and is making a 'come back' DVD.. who knows.. and who knows it's not just hype..?

I've downloaded all the available clips off the 'net. He has talent, that's for sure. He has very few brain cells, or very big balls, or a combo of both. Most of us wouldn't do that for the fear of death over most other fears. Note his lack of it.. 200kph+ between 2 way traffic isn't really my thinking of 'This'll look good on the next DVD..' sorta thing

I don't see the talent. He's on a motorway most of the time and just pins the throttle. Does the odd wheelie etc. Most of his misses are due to luck and disciplined Swedish drivers.
I think he'd be an also ran on the track.

I've seen some footage of him through corners, seemed pretty confident from my point of view. Sure most of his footage is of motorway riding, but he doesn't shy away from corners either.

He is good and I do laugh at some of his .... how shall one say ...... teasing the cops? But I will not say shame when he does get caught or hurt himself as he is asking for it (one can argue that I do as well by simply riding a bike ...... sometimes a bit fast) . He is not the type of rider I would want to be on a ride with.
