    Why a 400? Carefull searching will get you a 600 to 750cc bike (older or high kms) that may be better than a thrashed 400......

    You're right. But there's just more of the 400s at that price.

    Not an SV fan. I know beggars can't be choosers, but I don't want to pay the extra rego and have a bike I don't like. But it does remind me that I found the SV power lacking. Which is a problem I'm going to have on a 400 as soon as I remember how to ride again.

    Anyone wanna give up their late 90s early 00's 600 to a good home?

    I havent ridden the CBR, but my R15 handles damnnnn sweetly thank you.

    To the OP - check out the GS500 for sale in this forum - dented tank, but a great bike! And they can be ridden fairly rapidly with an okay pilot onboard. Cheap to run/fix too.
