Get an RGV 250 the newer the better. It will totally hose those fat four strokes, handle better, look and sound better too. Get an USD fork model. Don't listen to those who say 2 strokes ware out fast, that's cobblers. As long as you use good quality 2 stroke oil and look after it it will last a long time.

You were implying that you hold a moral high ground over him due to the fact that he still rides a 250.

I want brand new. Not second hand. and not 2 stroke. Ive said multiple times speed isnt a major issue for me it need to be comfortable, under warranty(new) and look good. Which is pretty much the hyosung.

Only issue is i dont like the fuckin gtr logo they have. that little gold s.o.b doesnt look good in black.

You are in no position whatsoever to understand or suggest what I was implying.
Had you been privvy to other threads where the person at whom that comment was directed has gone about slagging everybody elses bikes off, you might have some ACTUAL idea as to what i was saying.
And for the record, I still ride a 250 on a regular basis. I also ride cruisers regularly, so dont start pissing on about what moral highgrounds I may or may not think I hold over other people you brainless fucktard.

FWIW - I did a test ride on the Hyosung and if it had been in my price bracket would have been very tempted. The twin pulls pretty well and feels good. I ended up with an older IL4 and I am deeply happy with it - I have a little more grunt over the twin which is handy if you want to be accelerating positively up to 120-130. To be honest though once your over 140ish on mine you need a pretty long stretch of road to be getting much quicker... and the Hyosung is probably pretty similar just slightly harder work over 120.

I have found the most fun with a 250 is keeping your cornering speed up and being able to flick it through corners... and top speed isn't so much of an issue with that!

finally someone who has actually ridden one and says something about it. Yes it doesn feel very nice. And whipping through corners isnt my goals just yet. Still got that noob shit scared of falling off fear rolling through me. especially if it meant a stuffed bike. but ill work my way to that. supposedly the hyosung bikes are capable to leaning so far that the fairings and exhaust start to get scratched.

as far as logos and stuff go its cheap as to get a couple of custom vinyls made up that you can put on the bike if you want to, so dont be too worried about the decals etc that come on it.

It sounds to me like you have basically made up your mind on what bike you want, so just go for it. its unlikely that youll find a 'perfect' bike, there will always be something small you dislike about it if youre completely honest. Having said that, there isnt much you cant do to fix the things you dont like. if you dont like the handling, putting some good tyres on it and having the suspension tweaked for your size will make a massive difference for example.

I think almost all of the 'sportier' 250's are capable of far more than their riders generally! I've only had mine a month and 2000k's and I'm startig to experiment more with my entry speeds on corners, lines, body position on the bike etc. The chicken strip on the tires has gotten smaller but it's still very definitely there!
