    Announce Hyosung GT250R 2008 - side-stand switch

My Gt250r stalls in first gear; reason faulty Side stand switch. DIY: find the switch under side stand, cut and short the wire and make sure to tape em. problem solved.

P.S. Don't forget to lift side stand before riding off.

    Thumbs up

I would rather crash at 5kmph than, doing 100 on m.way... if the switch fails midway (no switch, no problems)

I heard of someone who took off down the road with their side stand down, got up to about 50 Km/Hr and leaned left and pole vaulted off the bike.
    Not a good outcome.

I don't think that by-passing a safety feature on your bike is the best move, and not the best advice for newbies.

A ride-away (or attempted ride-away) with the stand down is more common than you think.

back a few years well before I actually got my licence lol. left the dairy (right hand U turn) only had one LH corner to go round to get home about half a km up the road slowed for the corner, leaned in and WHAMMO gave me a hell of a fright, though i managed to stay upright. never done it again!!!!!!!
I too own a GT250R and although lesson in my case has been learned still would never remove any safety features from my bike. they are there for a reason
