Ordering from Tyga - import taxes?

he-ya does anybody know when you import shit from tyga performance right..... it takes a few days or so to get here, weeks maybe but do you get charged import tax? or does it come straight to your door and are you like 'oh wow' my product... ??? or do you get that letter in the mail saying, your shit has arrived please pay us 100 or so dollars for nothing and we will send it to you. Happy?

So yeah answers to this would be much appreciated.

This question has been asked and answered a bunch of times before: basically i believe there is no import duty, but if the revenue to the gubblemunt is over $50 then GST will be levied. so if your landed cost in nzd is $400 and under you were fine, more than $400 you got taxed. (so your parcel attraced duty of $50 on $400 WHEN THE GST RATE WAS 12.5%. If that still applies then the amount you can spend is less, unless the threshold is adjusted. have a look at the customs website, its bound to be in an FAQ

Goods subject to GST and import duty
Goods mailed into New Zealand may be subject to goods and services tax (GST) of 15%, based on the real or assessed value of the goods, and including the postal charges.

The goods may also be subject to import duty. Import duties are calculated on the real or assessed value of the goods in New Zealand dollars.

Goods liable for duty and GST of more than NZ$60 cannot be released until the charges are paid.

There will also be an import entry transaction fee (IETF) of $25.30 (including GST) and a MAF Biosecurity risk-screening levy of $12.77 (including GST).

Bike parts have no duty associated, so it is just the GST on the goods value + freight. If this is less than $60 you don't pay anything. If it is over $60 you pay the GST plus another $38 for the extra fees.

So, if your goods + shipping = NZ$400 (at their exchange rate) then that is all you pay.

Add $1 more however and you end up paying NZ$499

well im ordering new rearsets it 380 nzd. including postage.

lol, those are fully custom buddy! and as good as tyga stuff is, it ain't got shit on fully custom

OH MAN! I want those Honda wing kick plates!

I was thinking of getting VFR milled into the stock ones, but those wings look sick!

Iv never been charged for Duty, my max buy was $500 NZ, and I just spent about $1000 on a full race exhaust system from Tyga, so in about 4 days Ill find out if I get it or not without having to pay,
It took me 4 days to get my last Tyga stuff ($300 including shipping)

oh wow awesome. 4 days. shiat thats quick. how do you know if you get slugged or not? the order cost me 387 bux i was gonna get some other lil stuff but thought nah i dont wanna topple over 400. on my next order for the carbon cans ill include it i spose. my bikes being projected at the moment i cant wait till its finished itll look awesome. and go nutzs!

As you said in another post, its a 250 who cares.

Just buy a bigger bike then sink money into it.
