Rules are rules, you're aware of them, yet you broke them.

Punishment should be the coro loop between 20-25km/hr, if you go above or below, you get penalized.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Dont bother reading, its just a Rant.

    Uhh its all 50/50 in'it,
If you get caught doing 200 on a straight piece of road with heaps of visibility, and noone around AND you pull over, then the charge or fine or whatever it may be, should be SMALL, You have not caused a danger to anybody else on the road other than yourself, and you are honest enough to pull over when you could have kept going,

If your doing 200 on an open stretch of road, some circumstances as above, BUT you decide to Outrun the police, then get caught up with in the next town or what have you, and have no choice but to pull over, than you deserve whatever they give you.

If your doing 200 and your weaving in and out of traffic, there is piss all road visibility, as in there are alot of bends in the road etc, you go flat stick through some hick ass motorway town, any of those situations, and you get caught up with then you deserve a good kick in the head.

Im not typing this as an uptight pole smoker who obeys the law infact im pretty bad for speeding, my bike wont do 200 but it will comfortably do 160 which is still enough to smear my body and internal organs all the way down the road
I accept my own responsibitly and I set myself 'rules' If im riding on the open road, IE: North on SH1, then I will overtake on safe stretches of road, if I have a clear run I will probably speed (wont say what speed but not a very legal one) depending where on SH1 I am etc, but I will NEVER speed through a small township that is my number one rule, The fact is, no matter your excuses, no matter your situations, If you break the law, you have broken the law, the problem with most people is that they can not accept responsibility in their own actions but instead lash out at official's who were only doing their job in the first place.

    Rant part 1, Over.

The video is pretty good, and I agree with the points he brought up about the sentence terms for different convictions,
This is something I do agree is wrong, and I believe it is like that here in New Zealand, I know kids my age who have been to court more times than I have changed my socks, and they still havnt been jailed for their bullshit, yet recently a good friend of mine who was involved in a fight with a gang member was jailed for 3 months on an Assault charge, admittedly he had a few other hold ups with the law, but nothing serious, and very minor to some of these hoody wearing muppets that walk around with their jeans at their knee's in preparation for when they are sentanced to jail, for when cell mate decides hes keen for some Sausage and Bread.

    kk im done now haha.

Trouble is young DM, people would then argue incrementally, i.e. "Well there weren't MANY cars so I should be in the same catagory as if it was an empty road" and so on down the line until they're almost in the "doing 200 and weaving in and out of traffic" catagory and STILL wanting to be counted as an 'empty road' catagory.

But in real life what you say does happen from time to time - only it's the luck of the draw whether that the dude that pulls you up is lenient or a road-nazi.

This is true, and at that point in time it also comes down to your personal attitude, I was pulled over on the way back from Blen on my 250, I had my L at the time, and I had missed a speed limit sign which was 80km, and I was doing 120, the officer pulled me over and went over my license etc, I had a good attitude and explained that for that leg of the coast (its long straight roads) I had been sitting on an average speed above the speed limit, I didnt say what speed as I didnt want to make things worse, I simply thought it was because I was 20km over the limit, turns out I was 40, the cop thought I was pretty genuine and asked me where I was going, when I said Dunedin, he told me to carry on but be more aware of the sign posts.

Like I have said in previous posts, I dont have anything against the police, they are like anybody else, and I work in a supermarket and that involves dealing with alot of ignorant fuckwits of different age groups and sexes, so I can only imagine the shit they deal with day to day, so I dont see the point in been someone who I dont like.

Yup totaly agree, but before everyone starts ranting about how unfair the sentance was? I suggest looking at what punishments some countries dish out for 'drunk driving' being over the limit period....... no, "Oh, but I was only 5mg over Your Honour"

HOW THE WORLD DEALS WITH DRUNK DRIVERS

Finland & Sweden: Jail - 1 year hard labor plus fines. NOTE: in Finland, if an individual yields a vehicle to someone guilty of drunk driving, they will be fined or imprisoned for up to 1 year.

Norway: 3 weeks in jail at hard labor, 1 yr loss of license, 2nd offense within 5 yrs - license revoked for life.

Arizona: 1992 - 1st time offenders - 24 hrs in jail, $250 fine and 90 day license suspension. 2nd time offender within 3 yrs - 60 days in jail along with fines and license actions.

Bulgaria: A second conviction results in execution.

Czechoslovakia: Jail up to 1 yr, reformatory measure, loss of drivers license and fines up to 50,000 crowns. A reformatory measure: confiscation of 10-25% of driver's salary. The court may also direct that he will be removed from his present position and employed in a less responsible job

    this one is....... priceless

Malaysia: the driver is jailed and if he is married, his wife is jailed too.
If the road to hell is paved with good intentions; and a man is judged by his deeds and his actions, why say it's the thought that counts? -GrayWolf
