Good excuse to get away for the weekend. I'm going to watch this on the Saturday (apparently a gold coin donation for entry?), then there's the first round of the Honda Cup at the Taupo track on Sunday. Great weekend of motorsport in Taupo!

Digger McEwens - Sat Battle of the Clubs, Sun Club day - will watch a couple of local mates race
Taupo racetrack - Sat Club day, Sun Honda Cup and Clubman racing.

Honda Cup is a one make series. Classes are 0-1600cc, up to 2000cc, up to 2200cc. I used to race a Honda Civic, some of the front runners have amazing cars while at the back you've got a lot of normal guys who have built cars to have a blast. More info at http://www.hondacup.co.nz/

Rotorua won today from Bay of Plenty with the Pukekohe Gold team 3rd,

wicked turnout, big thumbs up for the taupo club for another awesome event
