    Registration exemption applied for today!

Well, today it finally happened, I have applied for 12 months exemption effective 23/05/2011.

I simply can not afford to licence my bike any more!

My Tiger will remain locked up in my shed until I can find a buyer for it.

Thus prematurely ending a lifetime of motorcycling! (57 years to be exact)

I will always ride with you in spirit but from 22/05/2011 I will be unable to join you on my bike. Cheers, ride safe, oldrider.

Sorry to read this Oldrider. You will not be the only one doing this as this is a sign of the times. I would like to think that maybe you could down size rather than give up. What ever you end up doing I wish you well.

Very sad to hear that buddy. You're not alone. Please keep your bike for sunny weekends. If it's any consolation,, there's an election coming up. All the best to you.

Not too sure what the relevance of the election is, IF there is a change of government to Labour, all the dole bludgers and beneficiary grabbers that Labour buys to vote for them will need money from somewhere, so I doubt Labour will be giving any back instead they will be looking for more money to pay the lazies.

Sorry to hijack your thread "Oldrider". Maybe you can sell the Tiger and look for a suitable older bike with lower reg, or look for something under 600cc. Some of the classic bikes may keep you on the road a bit longer with their low reg costs.

    Cheers
