    Huh? On a sportbike if you have your brakes on before the corner and are tipping into the corner, the bike shouldn't be standing up. Actually this is the way a racer would typically brake into a corner.... it is the "correct" way to take a corner if the objective is to go fast.

    Please understand, I'm not saying one should do this during regular street riding. As far as the rear end getting lose, this often happens when braking hard for a corner and possibly not downshifting smoothly.

    Some bikes might want to stand up mid corner if the brakes are applied after the corner has already started.... but if a guy is riding quickly, then I don't see why this would even be an issue.

    Well put BD, it was what I was trying to say...and this guy (apparently) tried his rear brake to 'correct' things - only too often it seems

    Had managed to sneak some fuel in while in Dunedin.

    Just low on "Fark I'm being chased by the rozzers and better get away from them by riding really well" skills.
