250's Ninja's are plentyfull on the roads.
Biggest seller in Aus (for that sort of bike).
well...the Honda Postie is the biggest seller!

I would also think 5/1 is an exaggeration.

However, I'd wandered into the same shop I think (Hyo HQ on Barrys Point Rd) when I was looking for a bike and the sales guy pointed out that GT250Rs are the winners in the 250 production class in NZ for like 3rd year in a row . There were trophies on hand as well. Anyone cares to comment on this?

Yeah I would say 5:1 is a bit OTT myself but I must admit I am seeing more and more of the sport 250 on the road.

I got a GV250 myself, brilliant bike, fat bastard friendly, costs feck all to run and has never let me down.

    So there.....

I work with a guy who has had his hyo 650 for three months max, in that time: the air box fucked itself, it developed an issue that meant it kept dying on him (just what you want when you need to ride 200km on a wet rainy night!) and the front brakes failed... not to mention the shit-arse paint job.

That's only the stuff I know about, coz we only work together every few weeks, can't wait to hear the next story

Not a very technical description I know

To be fair, Hyosung have come to the party and fixed each issue quickly, but the poor guy is now left wondering what is going to go next

Sounds like it's his first bike?

Tell him to buy a toolbox and a bottle of polish.

No it's not, but it is his first brand new bike. Generally when you buy new, it shouldn't NEED fixing, or to worry about something so frigging dangerous as brake failure!

Which brings me to my point, I know some people love them but personally I'd rather go three rounds with Fat Max in a jelly pit than swing a leg over a hyosung

Combine both events. Wash cars with jelly whilst fighting?

To be quite honest, I would rather buy a SV650 than a Hyosung when I get my full. Something about all the technical issues puts me off. That and the current SV650s look awesome. Would get me one once I get my full, but the rego costs are putting me off. That, and I may end up joining the Air Force at the start of next year.

Ah well, the Hyosungs do their job well as a entry learner bike.

WEll.....Its hard getting things right 100% the time.
Suzuki > Hyo. Correct. Lots of happy SV owners out there. Fun and reliable.
Air Force > Life. Hmmmmm. Lots of unhappy fly-boys around at the moment.
