Good effort Bart
Just wanted to say what an absolutely fantastic time I had on the ride, I want to say a huge thank you to Elwyn for the use of his DR on the weekend, can't say thankyou enough (Hope you liked the venison, we all did).
I an sitting here back in Australia planning my next trip over and checking out trade me for a cheap Dr.
You don't know how good you have it living in NZ.
Look forward to riding with you all again in the not to distant future.
Thanks Clint & Great photos Bart. I have tagged along on four of these famous MMMMM rides, using them as a day trip from Napier. This years one was very average in the weather dept, but it did have one standout feature. Nine female adventure riders is pretty impressive at any event, let alone such a hardcore ride in the middle of winter. ( I even know some guys that are too pussey to do this ride) So, good effort girls, & if you keep going to this ride you may be lucky enough to experience the most beautiful snow covered scenery i have ever seen while crossing the summit 2 years ago.

Many thanks for a great ride
Brilliant weekend, oustanding roads and countryside.
Some pictures
Few more pictures
And still more
Count me in next year
Hi, looks like it was a great trip
I couldn't make it, but hope to come along next year.
In the meantime I'd like to try out the 1st part of the ride from the Napier/Taupo road through to Minginui sometime.
- Does anyone have route details for getting through here?
- or even better, did anyone take a GPS and have a route file they could share?
Cheers
A few people recorded a GPS track so hopefully one of them will chime in. I wouldn't recommend trying to find your way through there without one. Also be aware that the route we took is a public access easement, stay on that & you're fine, but for virtually all of the other forestry tracks & roads in that area a permit is required.
Cheers
Clint
