I'd say the jappa boys are the most common for me but my most successful victory was beating my old man in his NZV8 Ute on Taupo track. He wasn't happy so he jumped in his supercharged Maloo and I cleaned him up again would be a different story in a straight line though.

Does an HSV Commodore count as an 'exotic?'

    Sigh.

Middle aged fuckwits trying to prove their potency are as big a menace as 'boy racers'

    Wot he said.
I had my arse handed to me (while riding a rgv250) way back in the day by a very skilled driver in what I now know to be worked Detomaso Pantera.
Likewise when I had the FZ1 I "gave up" leading a group of cars on the western motorway when my speedo hit 220kph. Group was RX7 and GTS-T (with a scary size turbo - could hear it over the motorbike).
To be honest I don't mind losing.
But if you don't move you fucking slow arse, and your heap of shit (bikes included) off the road when I hit "MY" sub-90k corners - you better hope I never see you again. I will shove your brake pedal up your arse so hard you will never slow me down in the corner again.
I am talking to you mister POS poser bullshit Ducati owner. You know who you are asshole.

I've raced a couple of cars that have been able to hold me off on a 750/older thou to over 250kph.
I've raced an older blade back in the day in my v8 that couldn't shake me down the southern.
I've chased a guy on a tl thou through the old north road in a skyline that couldn't lose me too.
And I've driven an Audi that did 250kph in 4th out of 6 gears.
Go to the drags and try ya luck, there's plenty of cages that'll run in the 10's, try that on a 400.
Have to agree with that statement, there are a lot of mostly badly maintined, thrashed and 'half baked tuning' noisy shitboxes out there. However there are some seriously worked and tuned cars out there too. As much as some here would not like to accept, a fully tuned WRX will give 90% of bikes a serious run for acceleration, and often better the top end. Remember Skylines can and do produce in excess of 800bhp quite easily. (Top Gear tested one in the UK that produced 1000bhp and was road legal).

yes this is all true, but these are the once in a way, needle in the hay stack occurances. and yes, fully tuned, ud have to spend a fuckload of time and money to get a car goin as fast as my (7 grand) bike. I love cars dnt gt me wrong, but the simple fact is, in my case anyway, 99.9% of vehicles i come across at the lights or on the motorway just dont make the cut.

Had a lot of trouble keeping up with a 328 coupe coming back over the Takas not so long ago. Having said that, it was damp and he was an awesome driver. Best lines you'll ever see. Kept losing him in the twisty bits, then reeled him in on the straights, as you'd expect. Mucho respect for his driving skill.

Was in the waitakeres a few months ago when a van came hauling ass past me - not wanting to be outdone, I put on the pace.
Finally caught up to him then he pulled away again.
Saw him parked up at the petrol station when what did my eyes see... FUCKING SEMI SLICKS ON A VAN. Can't beat that corner grip.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Drove the new 335 a few years ago. Made me seriously wonder the whole bike vs car thing. For a "standard" car - certainly would make a modern thou run for its money. And would eat a modern 6 hundy until things get scary.
