Intersection question

Hello there,

Was doing my nightly riding practice tonight and I find I am still a little clumsy when it comes to turning into and out of a street slowly. Usually okay if I have to stop first, so this is more about the process of slowing down and turning into the new street.

I'm trying to do it in 2nd gear as I find the throttle a little choppy in 1st. But if I slow down too much the bike tries to stall.

What's the best technique here?

Practise good clutch manipulation and back brake feathering ( pressing slightly whilst maintaining even throttle and clutch control) and get to your ideal speed before the corner and keep a constant throttle as you go around the corner

So 2nd gear's okay with the clutch in slightly and rear braking?

Yes, working most nights. I don't have friendly hours.

Find carpark.
Practice SMOOTH throttle control in straight lines.
Continue to reprodice above but introduce cornering.

repeat as necessary. No reason to need back brake if you are travelling slowly in low gears.

Not having trouble with smooth throttle control in straight lines, even pretty darn good going in circles in the carpark....just that more L-shaped intersection manuevre.
