    I like but don't you mean upper North Island destinations? Too far north for me.

    I heard the Fatt Bikers scheme is to start the day with a clean shirt then collect all the gravy stains from different pies along the way - once the shirt is full - put on a fresh one and restart....

    that sounds a good idea but if we have to go north of Piopio to take part it would be the Wendy's Baconator sauce and riding from one Wendy's burger joint to the next. Can't get the bloody things down here ... yet

    Done: Looks like I have been to or past by every location before today.....got lost getting to Piha though...

    speaking of pies?

    Probably waaay off topic but had a very good pie today at a very unlikely venue: Eden Gardens in Auckland at lunchtime today. Not cheap though, $9.00 for a very nice mince n' cheese with about 5 cents worth of chutney. Bonus was absence of hairs, toe nails, elastoplasts and chewy gristle bits. Even managed to gat away with minimum gravy in whiskers and down front of shirt.
