Coro Loop - clockwise/anticlockwise?

Much prefer riding in the dry so tend to give the sun an opportunity, i.e. east side first then west = anticlockwise

Rode it counter - clockwise last Tuesday
Was a pretty good ride. Bloody cold if you didnt have the winter gear though, even in the sunshine. Also if you are doing it counter-clockwise this time of year be prepared for encountering a fully laden forestry truck with a bunch of logs on the back mid corner whilst avoiding a slip on the road

Mate I drive a semi down the coro in the weekends and I'll probably never ride the coro again in a manner I've previously done on my sports bikes. Tairua hill especially not to mention SH25 Whangamata-Wahi. I chucked a vid up on youtube the other night you probably wont find it interesting but you can see how much us truckies need to cross the centre line, I cringe everytime hoping a bike isn't coming round a 25 kay corner at more than twice that but it's still a good challenging drive/ride that I enjoy.

personally I prefer clockwise as you dont get as much shit falling onto the road off the hills.

My flatmates and I just did the loop the other weekend. We went anti-clockwise. I've been clockwise up to the coro township and back and enjoyed that a year ago. This last weekend though I only seemed to enjoy the uphill climbs. Downhill for some reason didn't seem as fun and the rest of the loop was just dodgy at the best of times. Mind you the conditions weren't the greatest during that weekend.
