    Citizen moving back to NZ

    is anybody aware of the process involved with bringing my motocross bike to nz with me or do i just throw it in the container with furniture and forget about it ? or who would be the relevant authority to contact ? cheers tim

    Have proof you own it. Have proof you've owned it for more than a year (or you'll get hit with tax. Clean it or MAF will av you.

    Clean the crap out of it, and when you're finished....clean it again.

    Clean it some more

    Yep, just spoken to my sister who works at MAF and she says Clean it.

    She says:
    "Yep it's fine to bring, but when he fills out the Customs and MAF declarations for everything he needs to declare it. Motorcross bikes aren't LTNZ registered I think so it's even simpler. Let him know though that he needs to make sure it's super clean (along with all the other belongings) or else you end up paying loads at this end to have it cleaned."

    Has anyone mentioned the Cleaning requirements yet? lol jks.
    Look at it when its dry...can you see 'any' dirt anywhere? Does it look new'ish and shiny?
