I know exactly how you feel mate. I couldn't be missing riding and more than I am. On a weekend, to meet up with that group of fantastic people that you know well, and ride so well with every week. Beers after a good days riding together. Lunch missions away from the main routes. On a perfectly still night, when you are home alone with nothing to do and usually you would jump on your noble steed and ride solo to a beautiful spot somewhere to pass some gentle hours out on the road. Just you and the road ahead.
I miss these times so much. Riding was my entire life, and everything I looked forward to each and every week. Right through winter with the wet wethers on. But for me it's only been 3 months. I know it will more than likely be another 6 months. And mate, I feel your pain. In so many ways. I hope you manage to get back on 2 wheels again soon - when the time is right. If riding is in your blood, and in your heart like it is mine now, then being without it is such a hard thing to do.
I broke the habit of a life time and deliberately set out in the pouring rain yesterday, I just couldn't wait any longer to get my ridding fix. Cold and wet through but still enjoyable, so yeah I hear ya Bud, 3 days without riding is about it for me before I go crazy and I know how much you loved the ride.![]()
Oh bugger
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Sold my road bike 2 months ago and downgraded to a 'economical' and 'sensible' scooter. Its unbelievable how much I miss proper biking right now, but won't be getting another road bike for the foreseeable future.Only reason I still have my sanity is because I still have my track bike to ride on the odd occasion.
Religion is not the opium of people. Opium is
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

And if there are no earthquakes to bugger this trip up you can bet the Ash cloud from South America will stop me from getting home
And if by sheer luck all the ducks line up you can bet the weather will be![]()
