For those interested I will be organising access thru Orari Gorge Station on the Friday for those keen on getting a little bit dirty on the way from Christchurch to Fairlie, I believe the koha from last year was $10pp.
I'll create a link closer to the time so I can collect some numbers for search and rescue purposes!

    See you there, cheers Matt
Like Tim who has posted below - I hope to join you and the others on this Pre DB1K ride Matt - if you don't mind someone even slower than Tim

So as it turns out, I may be stuffed for this next ride now, demerit points are not your friend. Yet to make some phone calls to find out where the hell these points came from, but its not good when someone is looking for you to give you a letter :\

No limit planed. I've not set a deadline for registrations but if you want a Tshirt and a bbq meal then 6th Jan is the latest date.

Friday is not a race, (unlike Saturday ) so as long as the farmer doesn't mind, more the merrier, might tweak the route this year with a wee look at the Ashburton Lakes or Double hill/Lake Heron loop, will suss things out closer to the time.

Bugger. I've been following the thread re traffic infringements etc in another forum & might just ring up to find out how many demerits I have. Although I'm not a speed demon (the opposite infact) I have been pinged a few times in the last few years.

Good thing I have a slower bike now
