I think if you look at models the EXC stands out with 10. Excluding piston, crank and barrel all EXC regardless of CC's are basically the same bike.

it's lost in the middle of here somewhere for those who haven't yet entered & are interested

Mods have told a couple of us that apparently the first posts are always editable. Keen to hear if you have this option still.

I will still ride slow and fall off (often), but at least the DT is lighter to pick up....
Major downside of the 230 is limited fuel range so going to have to carry a heap of extra fuel & or set up some secret fuel dumps prior.

I have a couple of fuel bladders if you want them, they are approx 5litre and 10litre. Once empty then can be rolled up. They are glued and welded etc, good stuff from Aussie. Could come in handy for you...

The link for the website is now on the first post thanks to caveweta.

Ryan I may be ahead of myself as the details will be released on 1st Dec however I was thinking about the fuel supplies. I ended up this year limping back into Alex due to my mistake of not filling up where I should (Kurow?) then getting to the next fuel station otematata (?) & finding it dry.

    Any thoughts for next year?

Yes you are getting ahead of yourself and next time pay more attention to the little fuel stop sheet. It was there for you to plan your stops. If you miss your own stops well, maybe you're beyond help.
If you are playing follow the leader you better have a leader that is stopping where you need to and won't miss their stops either.

I am laughing here, dig dig.

I answered because i know Ryan is busy with the calculator as we speak/post working it out. At least that's what he was doing last night.

Anyway, I thought people hated being nannied.. nanny state this nanny state that... nannied like to the point of having their hand's held down to the petrol station.... see more humour.

    Ahhh just saw the edit.
Not so much worried about the distances between stops but the availbility of fuel at the nominated stops I was thinkng about - I guess this year I will fuel up at every stop.

As far as being nannied - I'm still attached to my wet nurse & no way I'm giving them up...

Distance between fuel stops is a real headach for me. I want to create a route that takes in all the good bits and minimal seal bits. Also want to go past reliable fuel stops. All seems like a good idea right?

I've just come up with my ideal route but the longest leg between fuel stops would be 290km. Those of us with monsta tanks no worries, but bit much me thinks for the average bike. Back to the drawing board to adjust the route to try and include another fuel stop. Got a couple of options - just need to check out how reliable their fuel is and if they are open on a Sunday.
