Fantastic job as always, thanks. Damn stepson ran the printer cartridge dry with his Uni project, used up all our bandwidth with downloads, emptied the fridge then moved on! Soon as i get some ink will introduce the A5 to my new Torpedo holder. IMS tank fitted, new battery, couple of fabricated hooks for a tail bag. Not long now!

The T7 roadbook holder lets in water past the O ring seal. would recommend some silicone grease in the groove.

Having some issues with the roll holder. The rollers are VERY tight and, when the paper is attached, jams so tight the paper rips rather than advance. Any (helpful) suggestions? Might have to go back to my reliable home built job.

Having not seen a T7 roll chart holder in person all I have to suggest is that on my home made job I wind the bottom handle to create some slack inside before winding the top handle on to move to the next instruction. Will operating in this manner help?

If it's to do with the amount of paper you're installing is there any way of winding or trimming the paper in to a tighter spool?
Separate the roll in to a Saturday roll and a Sunday roll ?

Try lubing the shafts with either graphite powder or a drop of light oil, or if they are really stiff put the cordless drill on it and give them a work out.
Also dont roll the sheet on to tight to begin with.

I dont have a RB holder like that one bu the above has worked on the various manual/electric ones i've made and the MD i've got now.

Only spooled as tight as was required to fit it in. Dividing into days crossed my mind but most of the directions are on day one so wouldn't make a heap of difference.

    .
Didn't roll it tight as stated. Will try the rogering with the drill i think. Notice you cant access the mounting screws when the paper is on either! Daft setup

To eliminate error between different speedos, if you ran the whole 1000 kms you would find bikes turning off tens of kms away from the actual turn by the end.

What Crisis said. Also on the rough stuff, riders don't always take the same line so differences in KM's quickly rack up. The other thing to remember is that if you get horribly lost you can back track to the last known position/reset to get your distances under control again without having to go back too far. Not hear of anybody having to do that yet though.

Actually I'd be quite happy to sell it. Cost $39.99 + P&P. Its larger than i envisioned Trying to mount it on the KTM's like fitting a 42" plasma screen! Can't see anything else on the dash. Needs a cross bar on the handle bars too. Gave it a whirl with the dry glide and electric drill- moves more freely now.

Another useful thing when putting roll charts in holders is to photocopy the roll chart smaller. I have a very small Enduro Engineering one, and by reducing it to say 88%, also makes it only 88% as long. That way I fit each day of the DB in the very small holder quite easily.

The graphite and drill trick is also essential with the one I have. I like it, but it means you need to get this sorted before the ride. Kaipara folk did not like it, but Chris was helpful in that regard. No problem for most rides tho.
