Two Moto Kiwis Adventure Ride, May 3rd 2012 -> 20XX Prudhoe Bay Alaska -> Ushuaia Argentina -> Then Wherever We Point The Bars
I've got a spare bed (possibly two) available in Alexandra for Sat night two day riders, sharing with two others riders from Nelson, myself and Umopom.
We chose to go for a decent motel room for $55 each at www.alexandraheights.co.nz which looks pretty nice and is a good alternative to the $35 prison cell rooms at the Alex Holiday park (IMO)
PM if you're keen.
Cheers, CF

Well I'm out now had a accident up on the Summit Rd, guy in his 4WD trying to make a 3 point turn on a blind corner. Brushed of the tyre on back of his truck and landed in the grass on other side of the road.
Ouch !
Shit man, hope you can get him in trouble with the law.
Damage to you or the bike or both?

Both me and the bike took damage, front wheel cracked hub, rotor is bent, broken spokes, handlebars stem bolts are bent looks like the front wheel caught his tow bar. My legs are saw today a lot of bruising along with my right thumb. He's a young guy he said he was going back up the road to have a look at the hang gliders and he admitted it was his fault, I was going to miss him I was already over the white center line to get past but he backed up again and WHAM!.
Three point turns on blind corners? Maybe he has had police training. Clearly you must have been "speeding" otherwise you would have avoided him.Seriously though, good to hear you're in once piece- shame about missing the DBK.

Bugger, that sucks. Make sure you follow up re a police report and insurance. It sounds like there is enough damage that it might cost a bob or two. I'll be in touch via email re the Dusty.
LOL - I like the speeding comment given other recent discussions.
