I have turned to the dark side

I needed to get a bigger bike (had a VT750C2) but wanted something in a similar body style - compact cruiser with large and light front end. I searched but there was really nothing much to choose from. The dealer suggested a Fury, so I rode my husband's Fury and didn't like the front rake on it - too long and I couldn't really reach the controls properly anyway. Looked at a Stateline but didn't want to spend over $20,000 for an ex demo. Being a sissy, I was too nervous to test ride bikes.

So I went to KTL, just to have a look, just a look, not going to buy one blah blah blah.
Damn their nice sales people who want to help nervous women!
The guy went for test ride with me, and I am converted, today I sign the paperwork and Saturday I will pick up my 1200cc Sportster which they are repainting to the colour of my choice.
It is funny, I sat on it and the thing fit like a glove, all the little picky things I wanted were there. I rode it and it was fun!!! So different to the Honda, but riding position was the same.

I never thought that I would ever get a Harley.
I think my husband is a little jealous

Congrats on the new ride, they're great loking bikes. I've never heard anything more impressive than a Sportster with aftermarket pipes opening up the throttle.

I was too excited about picking a new colour for it - yes I am such a girl.

No, there was a white pearl Harley there that I loved (which was sold) the guys said they could paint it that colour for me.
I am no good with paint colours but it was white with a blueish pearl to it - was very cool. I was wondering if it would look better with the slight purple pearl in the white - you must have read the 63 facebook comments/arguments over the colour last night?

people were saying I should just have a sparkly white like Madduck

Got to love a ladies perspective on a ride lol

It has something or another done to it, to ummm the air thingy, but the colour was pretty

Hope it serves ya well, oh and that the colour don't fade !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Good on ya, normajeane (Mrs Scumdog) has a1200 Sporty and thinks it's great.

And my '01 Harley Dyna T-Sport is white pearl - from memory I think it's more a purple/pink pearl than blue pearl, anyway, it's a stand out colour when the sun is shining on it.

that's a good point. She will be too busy trying to control it, or at least that is what I put the lack of response from HD riders down to

Can even fit the man on the back and is happy to stay there too.. The sound is like riding a low rumbling and thunder in the mix..Is a whole new ride from the Trumpy.
