The seppos say that because their emissions laws are pretty stringent and you arent supposed to change air in or out devices once they've been approved for street use.
but if you are selling parts "for race use only" nudge nudge grin grin wink wink say no more then it isn't unlawful.
That has bitten some of the accessory manufacturers (particularly of the "loud pipes save lives" variety because there is a backlash in the states and a proposal that ONLY the OEM pipes can be fitted even to replace crash damage, not for fashion. People are pissed off (and rightly IMO) with obnoxiously loud bikes.

The 750 was underpowered really, I loved it but it was yelling it's head off at 100kph
This is a tassle free zone
Sorry scumdog, you have confused my little brain...
All I know is it went faster than the 750 and I still had more gears to go.... it made me grin like an idiot, and from what I have seen the 3 times I have ridden with Madduck - she leaves me for dust when she is on her Sporty, both on the straights and corners.
ROLL ON SATURDAY!
I think it was Doc from Heavy Duty Australia that I read it from.
And yelling it's head off at 100kmph sounds odd! Very much so! The 250cc bikes I have been on screamed at around 100k with a head wind. In theory a 750 should be rated 120k and up quite easily. Theres a thread on the boulevards max speed somewhere - most people confirming the 800cc Maurader/Intruders don't scream until around 160k
Knowing the exhausts on Hondas, could be their EPA or whatever compliance was strangling the engine. I've done around 3-4 Honda modded exhausts and the bikes felt more responsive if the exhaust breathed a little more.

Yeah I was exaggerating (sp?) but I do feel like I need another gear, like it is working harder than it should.... I dunno... help me out here, I am trying to find a reason that I need this new bikeI am getting left behind though and I am thrashing the 750. It goes well on the twisty roads but not so flash on the motorway.
Most importantly, the Harley is fun! I was nervous and laughing just like when I got my first ever bike.
sounz as though your enjoyin the extra horses .It will be a shot of adrennalin
and you answered your own question.
I was the same, never going to ride a harley let alone buy one.
Then I rode one.
Then I bought one.
I am still grinning when ever I ride it. Even to work. That is the best reason to get the bike, you love it. All the rest is window dressing.
Harleys are bloody good.........
