I needed to get a bigger bike (had a VT750C2) but wanted something in a similar body style - compact cruiser with large and light front end. I searched but there was really nothing much to choose from. The dealer suggested a Fury, so I rode my husband's Fury and didn't like the front rake on it - too long and I couldn't really reach the controls properly anyway. Looked at a Stateline but didn't want to spend over $20,000 for an ex demo. Being a sissy, I was too nervous to test ride bikes.
So I went to KTL, just to have a look, just a look, not going to buy one blah blah blah.
Damn their nice sales people who want to help nervous women!
The guy went for test ride with me, and I am converted, today I sign the paperwork and Saturday I will pick up my 1200cc Sportster which they are repainting to the colour of my choice.
It is funny, I sat on it and the thing fit like a glove, all the little picky things I wanted were there. I rode it and it was fun!!! So different to the Honda, but riding position was the same.
I never thought that I would ever get a Harley.
I think my husband is a little jealous

that's a good point. She will be too busy trying to control it, or at least that is what I put the lack of response from HD riders down to
