New bike or new paint job for my SV650S 2007

Okay, i'm getting itchy feet regarding whether to buy a new bike or keep my old one though there isn't nothing wrong with it! I think i'm just being naughty as i do like the new GSXR600. Anyway, looking to buy a house, so that rules that out though i thought i might look at a custom paint job to give me that new look though the paint job on it is mint! I wouldn't mind a Racing Bike type look though i can't see any SV650S that have it though the other idea. This is the colour of my bike, so a paint job to work with this. I saw one with whitish flames before that looked nice though i can't find a pic of it. I'm based in Wellington

I went from a K7 SVS to a K8 Gixxer six. Best thing I ever did...

Send your bike to CKT for new suspension. Best way to get a new bike (without new unknowns) and costs less considerably less than a new bike.

Compensate. Put GSXR graphic on the SV. All the quirks without the pricetag.

Welllll...I did the emulator kit thing but the gixxer is still way more betterer in the suspender department...as RT says, all those kits are but bandaids.

I mean a full suspension work over. Emulators are a half arsed way to do things (they don't change rebound damping which is the most important one). However, they're cheap (relatively of course), but you get what you pay for.

Although with the SV the only way to get a decent front end on them is to put in a GSXR front end.

An Ohlins in the rear of an SV is a thing of wonder though.

    New bike.

This one might be ok if you aren't picky.

I put a gixxer front end on my SV..along with a gixxer back end and frame and engine and...well, whole bike in fact...haha

Never did get around to swapping the rear - just swapped bikes instead. Cheaper to register, more go faster and the ACC man must think it's safer 'cause it's cheaper for rego...

Actually, I do believe the Gixxer IS safer than the SV. In terms of handling anyway. It feels way more secure on the road...as long as one resists the urge to go totally apeshit on it of course...that 60% extra power can be a...ermmm...corrupting influence...

I have a GSXR front end in my GSXR. It is the worst front I have ever experienced.

You must be doing something wrong then cos every Formula 3 SV runs the GSXR front end.

    Perhaps yours is bent??
