Only concern I would have about the Honda Alex, is the maintanance history. 50,000 k's is not 'high' but the motor is a revver... poor maintanance at high revs = high levels of wear internaly. My strongest advice is this,
1) Look at what you NEED, not what you 'want'... different riding positions, touring? commuting? scratching back roads? The CBR isnt a distance bike for riding position. Also your income needs to be thought into the equation.... 4cyl's ARE more expensive to maintain properly beside the costs of consumables (tyres/chains/sprockets/fuel) Saying all this? The performance 250's when ridden well are good wee 'toys' that even experienced riders can get a serious grin factor from. Possibly in the mix for you? Hornet/VTR/GT-R/ZZR-GPX/Zeal etc.......
