Woodhill Forest Trail Ride, Sunday 19 June

2nd round of our winter series this Sunday.
Big (30k+) loop this time and the rock face makes a (expert deviation) return.

I'd been trying to forget about the rock face since last time, I think the bruising and emotional scarring have almost gone.

It will be good, they allways are folks, so get in early.

Yes just come along pay your money and follow the arrows. If you have any questions dont be shy there is always a club guy around the sign on area so just ask.

It is part of the old quarry I sat at the bottom of it last time watching bikes smash onto the rock face and went around it, I will give it a go this time.

Check your bike over carefully, a full tank of gas and another 5 to 10 litres, get a good nights sleep, bring a camelback full of water and some food (useful food, not McDonalds).
Get to Muriwai early (9.00am) to find the entrance off the beach access, there are usually some small signs or small orange arrows providing direction. If you can't find anything follow the stream of cars / utes going there.
Sign on, pay your $35.00, read the rules, ask questions and start on the shortest track available. If you have problems ask, people will help. Repeat until knackered or thrown out at the end of the day. Easy really.

Billaroo had a video of it from last year I think, it's on here somewhere. It's a short steep face that was a bit slippery last year and consequently very entertaining, I left bits of the bike there last time.
    That was fast Billaroo!
