whats pissed me off is I had a gorgeous, short, pointed statement about demerits and revenue collection, spent 15 minutes in a freezing southerly on the Terrace, and had my 3 second soundbite edited to their needs to show for it

It is always going to be a no win situation. The angle the media is going to take can change at whim, and a 15 minute chat about any topic can be edited to make you look like a genius or a twat. Of course, if you don't want to play their game there is always some one who will. My non riding wife said that "that feral fucking dropkick" didn't help the cause. (She meant Mike btw, won't say what she said about Stoney).

You can't blame old Mikey for being who he is. The media put him on tv. I think he should be the 'face' of the next campaign. We could raise funds by selling 'paint your own number plates'.

Mike is a bloody good bloke who just decided to take it to a higher level than many of us have the balls to take it to.... I met him at the BIKEOI.

While I don't personally condone the choice he made, I respect it as his choice/risk to take

Id like to see a rep from this new motorcycle committee front up for a debate about acc finances and systematically destroy dick smith in a public arena with hard facts on the funding, assets, bonuses and spending of acc.

really get stuck into him and show him up because its clear when he is interviewed that he is guessing answers for the half arsed questions put to him by the media.
