Swann or Kiwibike, which is the better to go with?

    Hi all

I am looking at full insurance for the gs and I have narrowed it down, based on price to Swann or Kiwibike.

Are there any opinions as to whether either is better or are they much of a muchness?

    cheers

Kiwibike are brokers for Swann and Protecta, so chances are the quote you got from them was for cover from Swann anyway.

Kiwibike always do a better deal than dealing with either insurance co direct.

    And, Kiwibike are awesome

Dont stop there, I have recently changed Insurers and saved myself $300 for the same deal...full comprehensive....$300 from insurer to another!

Do I need to chip in another vote for Kiwibike?

As said, they broker for Swann (amongst others), so if they are the best deal, you may end up with both

Thanks. Interestingly with the online quotes Swann was a bit cheaper than Kiwibike but it sounds like giving Kiwibike a ring would be a good plan

how easy is it to understand the policy between the insurers?

I personally put some emphasis on this aspect, if I dont understand the policy clearly and easily, I look for another policy/company.

Just rang Kiwibike and ended up getting the deal through them with Swann

Good deal with a low excess, free roadside assist and $3,500 gear/helmet cover

    can't argue with that

I rang kiwibike twice within a few days and got two very different quotes. One for $300 the other for over $400.

I thought they looked at all their insurers and told you the best but apparently they just pick one randomly and quote that to you.

Kiwibike is good if you have your full licence. If your on leaner or restricted NAC is much cheaper (but more expensive for a bigger bike).

I understand that Swann no longer offer earthquake cover.
