What got me was the general disregard from the public. No-one blocked traffic or tried to help in any way, saw a couple of guys on cell phones hopefully calling emergency services but nothing else

Poor bugger got hit by the motorcycle, the rider went passed behind him. Would've been better for The pedestrian if the biker had hit him, the biker would've weighed less than the bike and he would have been a soft and deformable object.

One of my Wifes cousins was killed, waiting at a bus stop.
Taxi pulled out on a motorcycle, motorcycle goes out of control, hits the girl just standing there.
(I don't know what else to write about that, that doesn't sound either accidentally callous or maudlin.)

Clips like that are reminders that you never know when your number will be up - minding your own business on minute, gone the next. Pedestrian in wrong place at wrong time; wonder how the rider fared? My biggest dread would ever to be being responsible for the death of some innocent person through negligent action of my own. It that makes me a nanna rider then bring on the crocheted blankets and fluffy slippers and endless cups of tea.
